She’s home! After several months locked down in India, Surabhi Thareja arrived back into Auckland last week and is currently in MIQ. She will return to our Auckland office from Monday 30th August. We are very excited to have her back in the flesh with our group!
To recap, Surabhi made the decision to fly to India back in late February to address a family emergency, something we at Younity fully supported. However, it coincided with the new Delta variant being discovered there, so hopes of a quick flying visit were dashed early on.
Given we had no definitive date for Surabhi’s return, we had to find a way to bridge the distance between us. So, in response, we took working from home to a whole new level, with the experience becoming Younity’s ultimate working from home story!
Here’s a short video we did last month, with Surabhi and Jane Anderson talking through how we managed to stay connected whilst being apart, working together and supporting each other through uncertain times.
After many months working New Zealand hours in an Indian time zone, Surabhi finally found a path home via the Maldives in August, securing MIQ slots which aligned with available flights.
It’s great to have you home Surabhi! Welcome back.
