Southern Cross Health Society
WINNER: SUSTAINABILITY THROUGH TECHNOLOGY 2020
In response to Covid-19, Southern Cross Health Society provided support when it was needed most, pledging $50m back to its members and business customers. Their digital technology team was instrumental in achieving this at pace, giving back and providing economic relief through percentage based premium credits and allowing policies to be put on hold.
Genesis Energy
FINALIST: SUSTAINABILITY THROUGH TECHNOLOGY 2020
Genesis Energy’s Digital & Sustainability teams collaborated to build EcoTracker, found within the Energy IQ digital app and on the Genesis website. It enables customers to have real-time information on carbon emissions from energy generation sources, allowing them to consume energy in a more environmentally conscious way.
Z Energy
FINALIST: SUSTAINABILITY THROUGH TECHNOLOGY 2020
Z Energy’s Carbon Count is a way for customers to calculate the carbon emissions and environmental impact of every fuel purchase they make. Accessed through the Z App, consumers are able to purchase carbon offset credits to these emissions, investing in local forests. Even better, you can offset purchases at other fuel retailers too!
Tonkin + Taylor
FINALIST: SUSTAINABILITY THROUGH TECHNOLOGY 2020
Tonkin + Taylor developed a unique GIS-based Water Catchment Risk Assessment tool, which assists in identifying potential sources of contamination in public water supplies. This technology solution captures the sources of drinking water contamination as they emerge, enabling a more proactive management process.
