Diversity & Inclusion is something we at Younity are absolutely passionate about! We’re on a mission to make the world a better place, ensuring that all people feel welcomed in the workplace no matter where they come from or what group they identify with. After all, we are all one big human family living, playing and working together side by side! We believe in a culture of inclusion, where everyone should be free to express their authentic selves, being who they are without fear of judgement.
This month we join our friends who identify with the Rainbow Community, celebrating PRIDE 2021, with festivals and events running in Auckland and Wellington through February and March.
To show our support, we’ve changed our logo on our website and on our email footers to show our pride, standing in solidarity with the rainbow community to actively promote festival events in both of Aotearoa’s two major cities.
The 2021 Auckland Pride Festival begins this month, running from 3rd to 28th February. There are over 200 events across Tāmaki Makaurau during the next month with the theme of “Karanga Atu, Karanga Mai”. Check out their website at www.aucklandpride.org.nz for a full schedule and get out there and support it!
The 2021 Wellington Pride Festival runs from 13th to 27th March, a two week long festival celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community in Wellington with over 100+ events. The festival is inspired by Wellington’s rich history of queer fairs and festivals and showcases the incredible talent, hard work, and creativity of Wellington’s rainbow community. All of the events happening in the capital city are listed on their website – check it out here: www.wellingtonpridefestival.com
Younity encourages everyone to get out into the community and show your PRIDE!!!
